Priority of Services for Veterans

The NWD Program and U.S. Department of Labor recognize the importance of our native men and women who have served in the military.

The program’s Priority of Service (POS) give priority of services to veterans and eligible spouses “covered persons” in accordance with the Jobs for Veterans Act (JVA), PL 1007-288, Veteran’s Benefits, Title 38, U.S.C. Section 101(2) (38 U.S.C. 101 (2).

  • Adult Work Experience Program
  • and Support Services.

Training Services:

  • On-the-Job Training
  • Occupational Skill Training
  • Skill Upgrading and Training
  • Job Readiness
  • Adult Basic Education/GED Attainment/Literacy Training
  • Tuition Assistance

The ITCN NWD program services 25 reservations and colonies within the State of Nevada.

This currently excludes the Reno/Sparks Indian Colony and Duck Valley Shoshone-Paiute Tribes, as they manage a 477 program.
